Jim Ford (artist)
Jim Ford grew up in Sacramento and
returned from Aspen in the late 60's just
in time to work his way into the middle
of Sacramento Rock history. He
started a light show and print company
and was asked to create posters and
handbills for artists and shows that
became legendary: Hendrix at a college
venue; Cream and the Grateful Dead in
their only billing together; The Doors
whose show was cancelled with a
Memorial Auditorium full of fans; a
rare poster for a Motown group.
