Bill Graham Presents dominates the concert scene in the 1980's.

Picture
No company did rock events like BGP.
The organization and presentation were
worlds above any other.  And, with
the Cal Expo Amphitheater and ARCO,
Graham kept the Valley jumping.  In
some weeks, there were 3 or 4 shows!
BGP was also one of the few com-
panies to spring for poster art.  Most
shows left behind monochrome "tele-
phone pole" posters, but some got the
full color treatment when the bill was
booked at several venues.
Night Ranger (Jeff Watson) and Tesla
made it big.
