Jim Carrico (artist)
Jim Carrico's parallel universe of poster art captures Fillmore spirit
From the Memorial Auditorium, to
short-lived dance venues, to picnics--
Jim Carrico's Rock posters and
handbills spread the word for a wide
variety of events. In the late 60's
heyday of the Avalon and Fillmore,
Carrico's creations reflected the same
wave of psych-art and touted the same
bands as the more famous prints from
the Bay Area. He was a favorite of
Tower Productions, Russ Solomon's
ten-year foray into concert promotion.
